
Andrew November
Director
Andrew began his career in the City as an Emerging Markets fund manager before joining Hill Samuel Asset Management in 1995, where he was instrumental in managing and building its global equity funds. Following its merger with Scottish Widows, he became Head of Institutional Funds at the newly formed Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP), and from 2003 to 2014 served as one of its Chief Investment Officers. In this role, he oversaw the management of the Fixed Income, Property, and Equities investment teams, while also establishing and developing SWIP’s Solutions capability.
After taking a central role in the sale of SWIP to Aberdeen Asset Management, Andrew was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Distribution at Aberdeen. There, he was responsible for developing all specialist sales teams, including product specialists and sales teams focused on insurance, quantitative strategies, and private markets. Following the subsequent merger with Standard Life Andrew played a key role in driving the integration of the distribution functions.
From 2020 to 2025, Andrew served as Head of the Scottish Widows Investment Office, overseeing over £160 billion of customer assets. His remit included Workplace, Retirement Account, With Profits and Longstanding propositions.
Throughout his career, Andrew has led major strategic and operational transformation programmes, including full insurance book restructures, multiple fund management integrations, M&A activity, and large-scale regulatory initiatives such as the implementation of Consumer Duty.
He has extensive board-level experience, including as the Chair of the Scottish Episcopal Church Pension Fund and since 2020, being a Non-Executive Director at the highly successful Border to Coast Pension Partnership, where he currently also chairs the Risk Committee.
